Get ready for Bestival and Common people coming to the South Coast…

Summer on the South Coast is sure to be fun with Bestival and Common People hosting a range of acts. Bestival will hopefully be calling Dorset it’s home for the next few years.

Music lovers across Dorset will be glad to hear that Bestival has relocated to their county.

Since 2004, Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight has hosted Bestival however this year the four- day music festival has moved to Lulworth Estate in Dorset.

The festival which happens over a weekend in the late summer months will this year run from the 7th till the 10th September just a couple of weeks before fresher’s week returns.

The festival will see top acts headlining the weekend with The xx, Jamie T and Pet Shop Boys just to a name a few.

The event will have twelve main stages with a variety of Indie, Dance, DJs and Reggae, so whatever music you’re into you’ll find a stage.

Tickets are now in their second phase with a student weekend ticket costing you £171 including the booking fee.

Alongside Bestival coming to Dorset this year. A smaller event has taken over Southampton in the form of Common People.

The event has the same organisations as Bestival in Rob da Bank.

This will be the third Common People festival to hit Southampton. The festival is a two day event which this year is on the 27th till 28th May.

The festival is split into two separate days with Tom Odell and Becky Hill among the acts on the main stage on Saturday.

Sunday will see Sean Paul and Wild Beasts take charge of the Common stage.

The event has three stages; Common Stage, Unconditioned Stage and the Uncommon Stage alongside this there will also be DJs across the weekend.

Tickets for Common People is in phase one so get them while you can. Day tickets for students are £28 and weekend tickets are £55 including the booking fee.

The summer months are surely looking great for music lovers throughout the South Coast.
