The Other Guys Film Podcast Episode 11

Space travel and unethical journalism are the focal points of this week’s episode of The Other Guys film podcast.

Patrick Wilson and Tom Beasley open the podcast as usual with the news. After months of waiting, Star Wars Episode VII finally has its titleThe Force Awakens – and Quentin Tarantino has announced the major cast for his upcoming film The Hateful Eight.

The Other Guys film podcast features reviews of the latest releases, including Jake Gyllenhaal’s slimy reporting thriller Nightcrawler and Christopher Nolan’s heavyweight sci-fi Interstellar.

Tom also got the opportunity to attend a preview screening of Life Itself – the poignant documentary adapted from the memoirs of late film critic Roger Ebert.

There’s also a look into the future on The Other Guys film podcast as we discuss Benedict Cumberbatch’s upcoming drama The Imitation Game, James Gandolfini’s swansong The Drop and the cinematic behemoth that is… errmmm… Nativity 3.

The review of Interstellar contains spoilers from 28:20 to 51:00.

NB (Tom): I repeatedly refer to Jonathan Nolan as Christopher’s son during the Interstellar review. He is, of course, his brother. My apologies.
